The trainings “Create Change: Project Management for Youth” in Ivano-Frankivsk and Mykolaiv regions were successfully held.
120 participants from the Bashtanka, Bereznehuvata, Halytsynivka communities of Mykolaiv Oblast and Kolomyia, Tlumach, and Kalush communities of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast gained knowledge and practical skills in project management, communications, and advocacy.
During the trainings, participants not only learned but also developed their own initiatives for the development of their communities. We share the comments in which the participants shared their impressions of the training.
Sofia Sushko, member of the youth council at the Kalush City Council, deputy head of the NGO “Youth in Action”. She participated in the training in Ivano-Frankivsk.
“I would like to share my impressions of the training, but before that I would like to note that this is not the first training I have attended, so I already have some experience and can make an objective assessment.
This training was important to me because next year I plan to enter the Project Management program. As a future student, it was important for me to understand what I will face in my studies.
I want to say that I was not disappointed at all. The training was interesting, and I learned a lot, even though I already had experience in implementing projects. I am very grateful to the organizers for preparing a manual that contains a lot of information in case we forget something. My only regret is that the training ended so quickly. I am sincerely grateful to the organizers, teachers and everyone who contributed to this training.”
Anastasia, Bashtanka community. Participated in the training in Mykolaiv.
“During the training, we all received a lot of useful information, a lot of communication and new acquaintances. We tried to develop new projects together, and thanks to this, we managed to meet and make friends with both those with whom we live in the same city and other participants. I hadn’t encountered the topic of project management before, but thanks to the training, I got a lot of information.”
Kateryna, Bashtanka community. Participated in the training in Mykolaiv.
“It was an extremely interesting and useful experience. The training provided a deep understanding of key aspects of project management, including planning, resource and risk allocation, and teamwork. As a student studying management, participating in the project management training was extremely useful. I gained practical skills that are often lacking in an academic program. It’s great to develop in this area, because this direction will always be relevant.
I really liked working in groups and creating the project itself, there was a lot of new information that I want to work on and work on. It was especially interesting to study how theoretical knowledge turns into real management tools, such as creating plans, identifying key performance indicators, and working with a team. I would definitely like to deepen my knowledge of project management, develop in this area, and start working on my own projects.”
Maksym, student, Bashtanka community. Participated in the training in Ivano-Frankivsk.
“I am very satisfied with the training. I spent two days studying, which were very intense and interesting. I am also satisfied with my team and their initiative. I came up with an idea about Soviet stereotypes and standards. My team really liked this problem and we started discussing it. Immediately, everyone got involved, started giving examples and looking for solutions to various problems. It was a great program. I am very grateful to the organizers!”
The trainings were conducted by the Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the humanitarian organization People in Need Ukraine and with the financial support of the Czech Development Agency.
