The mobile laundry service in Snihurivka was used by over 2800 people

Today, we would like to tell you the story of Volodymyr Ivanov, 85, and his wife Serafyma, 82. They live in Snihurivka, a town that has been seriously impacted by the explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. Living alone after their son’s death, and both with limited mobility due to health issues, they faced a significant challenge when their town temporarily lost its centralized water supply. Fetching water from distribution points for necessities such as washing clothes became nearly impossible for them, especially given that they live on the top floor of a high-rise building.

However, their hardship was addressed through a humanitarian project backed by Stabilization Support Services and Choose Love. They initiated a mobile laundry service in Snihurivka on June 15. The project involved the purchase of washing machines, pumps, and water tanks. It has already met the laundry needs of over 2,400 people, providing vital assistance during a difficult time.

The Ivanovs now use this service, which has made life much easier for them. They express sincere gratitude to the donors for such critically needed help and for implementing this vital humanitarian project.
