In June, our foundation distributed medical kits from CARE in two territorial communities of the Sumy region. Nedrigailiv TC received 1000 packages, Sadiv TC – 500.
“Sadiv Territorial Community has a specific request for humanitarian aid. This community consists of 15 small settlements and all of them happen to be in the area of combat operations,” — tells Nina Chernyavska, Regional Coordinator in the Sumy region. — “The situation is different in Nedrigailiv TC. It is more or less quiet there, but, on the other hand, they have bigger needs: 29 rural health posts and outpatient departments need medical supplies. And they need them right now”.
Each medical kit provided by CARE included painkillers, anti-inflammatory medications, cough, sore throat and blood pressure medications. Thanks to our Regional Coordinator Nina Chernyavska, all 38 outpatient departments and rural health posts in both communities received these kits. She is already planning the next humanitarian aid distribution and is ready to work in crisis conditions.
“There is no time to stop and wait for favorable conditions. People need help right now.” — Nina Chernyavska says energetically. — “Soon we will go to Glukhiv TC. And I hope we will be able to help every locality in the Sumy region”.
