A Year of Assistance to Kherson

A year ago, on the fourth day after the de-occupation of Kherson, our Foundation began to provide systematic assistance by means of humanitarian kits. Now we were the first to start restoring damaged housing in Kherson.

This year, we have been distributing hygiene and food kits in Khersonska Oblast and have also been delivering quick repair kits and winterization kits to help at least slightly improve the living conditions. Since the first days after the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam, we have been delivering the most essential disaster relief supplies in record time: hypochlorite for the water utility, generators, boats and motors for evacuating people, pumps for draining water and mobile water filtration stations.

On November 14, we had a meeting with representatives of Kherson city authorities to discuss the needs of the city and to present the projects we are launching in Kherson, including housing repairs that we will soon launch in Kherson as well as a project to set up a social laundry for the citizens.

We thank Andriy Andriushchenko, Head of the Humanitarian Aid Department, Viktoriya Kuchma, Deputy Head of the Social Protection Department, and Ihor Sierik, Chief Specialist of the Social Protection Department, for this meeting.
