We continue a series of outreach sessions in communities within the framework of the project “Improving Access to legal protection and strengthening the role of communities and IDP councils in supporting affected populations in Sumy Region”.
In April, our outreach visits took place in the cities of Romny, Trostianets and Okhtyrka. During on-site work, the project’s regional lawyers Iryna Koriak and Iryna Kalinichenko provided detailed explanations on key legal issues that concern community residents.

In particular, the sessions covered the general principles of legislation on compensation for damaged and destroyed property, procedures for obtaining compensation, the application process, and the specifics of working with the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
During the meetings, local residents also raised questions related to the protection of the rights of affected populations, receiving practical answers and clarifications.

Mobile outreach formats are an important part of the project, as they not only enable the transfer of knowledge but also help people better understand available legal tools directly within their communities.
This publication was made possible through the project “Improving Access to Legal Protection and Strengthening the Role of Communities and IDP Councils in Supporting Affected Populations in Sumy Region”, implemented by the Charitable Organization “Stabilization Support Services” together with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine, with support from Norway.
