We had the opportunity to expand our assistance to Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Pokrovska community in Dnipropetrovska oblast within the framework of the project “Humanitarian assistance to the affected cities and IDPs’ accommodation places in Ukraine”, implemented by the Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation with the support of CARE.Ukraine.
Thanks to the cost savings:
✅ We will be able to distribute 600 additional NFI winter humanitarian kits to help people prepare for the cold season in temporary IDP accommodation sites in Zaporizhzhia and residents of the Pokrovska community in Dnipropetrovska oblast. Now the total number of winter humanitarian kits to be distributed under the project is 1800 units.
As of November 18, 2024, 443 sets have already been distributed in Zaporizhzhia, and 598 sets in the Pokrovska community.
✅ We will be able to carry out 100 additional light repairs for those whose homes were damaged by shelling in Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih.
So far, 129 household repairs have been completed in Zaporizhzhia, 41 more are in progress, and work is underway in 6 temporary shelters. In Kryvyi Rih, 61 repairs have already been completed and 66 are in progress.
