This spring, the relative tranquility of the Novhorod-Siverska community was disrupted when the enemy targeted two of its settlements with guided aerial bombs. The inhabitants of Pechenyuhy and Lyzunivka suffered great losses due to these attacks.
«Almost all residents decided to stay in these settlements. Prior to these two airstrikes, there had been no bombardments. Both settlements are situated far from the border, and it came as a surprise when they were attacked. In one of the settlements, a 14-year-old child tragically lost his life to a missile strike. A missile hit a school in one settlement, and another landed not far from another school. Numerous homes suffered damage», – reported Pavlo Verchenko, the deputy mayor of Novhorod-Siverskyi.
In response to the request of local authorities, the Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services, with backing from Choose Love, provided temporary patches for windows and roofs that had been damaged by the Russian attacks.
«This assistance allows us to respond promptly and undertake temporary repairs. This aid is timely and deeply appreciated by our people. Our sincerest gratitude for your support», – Pavlo Verchenko remarked.
