Continued Support for People Affected by the Dam Destruction

The CO CF SSS team continues to aid families that suffered from the extensive floods and were forced to evacuate or remain in their inundated homes following the breach of the Kahovska Dam. Specifically, within the next six months, the Rapid Emergency Support to Affected Population in Khersonska and Mykolaivska Regions in Southern Ukraine, Kherson Flood Response project will be implemented.

We aim to provide assistance worth over 260,000 euros, which includes:

– Distributing in Khersonska and Mykolaivska oblasts:

  • 325 family hygiene kits;
  • 300 non-food item kits;

– Delivering to Mykolaivska Oblast:

  • 285 foldable beds for the Collective Centers accommodating the affected individuals;

– Establishing in Kherson:

  • a social laundry with 10 washing and 10 drying machines.

“We understand that with the onset of the cold weather, families affected by the flooding are facing new challenges. Therefore, together with our partners, we continue exploring ways to assist these families and at least partially address their domestic issues,” notes Anna Borysova, the Director of Humanitarian Response of the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”.

Information regarding registration for this assistance will be disseminated in the respective communities with the support of local authorities and also on local Telegram channels.

The project Rapid Response in the South of Ukraine, Kherson flood response is being implemented by the CO CF SSS, with the support of the international humanitarian organization CARE.
