We have initiated the distribution of essential equipment to social protection institutions.
Obsolete equipment has been a significant challenge for these institutions, particularly when registering IDPs. After determining which departments are most in need of updated equipment, we are now supplying them with contemporary devices.
Specifically, we have delivered all-in-one printers, ink cartridges, Wi-Fi routers, uninterruptible power supply systems, surge protectors, and external hard drives, along with necessary stationary.
Our regional coordinator, Volodymyr Antoniuk, recently visited the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Dnistrovskyi Raion Administration in Chernivetska Oblast and delivered the equipment to set up three workstations.
“The staff at these institutions expressed gratitude for the new equipment. Such support was unprecedented for them. The devices they previously had were ancient, having not been replaced in decades. They even purchased paper out of pocket, but we’ve addressed that need as well. This contribution genuinely enhances the service quality at these social protection institutions,” Volodymyr commented.
Moreover, equipment required to set up 12 workstations has been recently delivered to six communities in Kyivska Oblast. Beneficiaries include the Social Protection Department of Fastiv City Council’s Executive Committee, Hostomelska community’s and Byshiv village’s social protection departments, Desnianskyi District State Administration’s Social Protection Department in Kyiv, Voronkiv village council’s Social Security Department of the Executive Committee, and Borodianka village council’s Labor and Social Protection Department. These entities also received laptops in addition to the aforementioned equipment.
Our equipment contributions are part of the Supporting the Capacity of the Social Protection System to Register Internally Displaced Persons project, backed by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine.
