From Ivano-Frankivska to Poltavska Oblasts: Our Work in Communities

Our regional teams implement the project’s initiatives every day to stabilize the social protection system and help IDPs integrate into new communities.

Here are some of the activities we have implemented recently.

Vinnytska and Odeska oblasts: held workshops on developing social passports in six communities.

Chernivetska Oblast: met with IDPs living in a Collective Center in Onut village and informed them about available services for IDPs in the Viknyanska community and Chernivetska Oblast.

Khmelnytska Oblast: held training for IDPs with hearing difficulties with the assistance of a sign language interpreter. In particular, we shared the latest updates to the legislation on IDPs’ living allowance with the participants of the event.

Cherkaska Oblast: discussed the creation of a working group to develop a social passport for the community with representatives of the Monastyryshche City Council. After the meeting, we visited a Collective Center for IDPs and an inpatient care facility for the elderly in Monastyryshche.

Poltavska Oblast: held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Novosanzhar village council. We discussed cooperation under the project, the development of social passports, and the creation of an IDP council.

Ivano-Frankivska and Vinnytska oblasts: organized trainings on combating burnout for employees of social protection institutions.

We are conducting these initiatives as part of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of the Social Protection System to Register Internally Displaced Persons”, financed by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. This year, the project encompasses all regions of the country.
