Horodnya community of Chernihiv region is the only Ukrainian community that borders with both aggressor countries, Russia and Belarus. Its residents suffer from daily shelling. In such difficult conditions, support for people with limited mobility is crucial.
Therefore, we promptly responded to the request received from the local authorities and, together with Choose Love, purchased and provided adult diapers for locals in need.
“This assistance is very important for people in need of diapers. Their health condition poses not only a financial but also a moral challenge for them. Residents of some settlements don’t have the opportunity to go to the pharmacy every day. Moreover, their pensions are small, and their caregivers aren’t able to work and earn additional income.
Therefore, people were very grateful for this kind of aid. It supported all the recipients. We thank the Stabilization Support Services Charity Foundation and Choose Love Charity Fund for coming to us with such support and providing this aid to the residents of our community,” says Svitlana Bilska, Secretary of the City Council of Horodnya community.
