The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” team has distributed the hygiene kits to families affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam in the Snihurivska and Horokhivska communities of the Mykolaivska Oblast, as well as in the city of Kherson.
The kits were distributed in the framework of the Rapid Emergency Support to Affected Population in Khersonska and Mykolaivska Regions in Southern Ukraine, Kherson Flood Response project. This is not the first time we have provided assistance under this project, as we have previously distributed folding beds and are also preparing non-food kits.
– “During the distribution, people were amazed at the size of the kit in question. They teamed up with neighbors who had vehicles to deliver it to their homes. They were particularly pleased with the large amount of laundry detergent,” says project coordinator Anna Vasylenko. “They also note that most organizations in the Snihurivska community, unfortunately, have suspended assistance to those who were flooded as a result of the dam collapse. Therefore, they are very grateful for our help.”
The project Rapid Emergency Support to Affected Population in Khersonska and Mykolaivska Regions in Southern Ukraine, Kherson Flood Response is being implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” with the support of the international organization CARE.
