In November we held eight webinars for Social Protection workers

Our Foundation continues to advise specialists in the field of social protection on providing assistance to IDPs. During the month we held eight webinars for representatives of social protection departments in eight oblasts of Ukraine. In total, more than 460 listeners attended our webinars in November. We covered the following topics:

  1.   Current issues of IDP support: changes in legislation, humanitarian assistance, social support programs (Chernihivska oblast).
  2.   Changes in the mechanism of assigning living allowance to IDPs: current issues (Kyivska oblast).
  3.   Registration of IDPs (Vinnytska oblast).
  4.   Peculiarities of application of labor legislation in the conditions of martial law (Donetska oblast).
  5.   Stress management. Prevention of professional burnout (Odeska region).
  6.   Registration of IDPs. The procedure for providing living allowance (topical issues) (Dnipropetrovska oblast).
  7.   First psychological assistance in the work of social protection workers with IDPs (Kirovohradska oblast).
  8.   Living allowance for internally displaced persons: recent amendments to the Resolution No. 332 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, current issues of legal regulation (Ternopilska oblast).

Our regional teams, comprising Iryna Kulyk, Oleksandr Yavtushenko, Nataliya Hurkovska, Natalia Sikora, Stanislav Troshyn, Tetyana Mamchych, Nataliya Salimova and Yana Shkuratova told the employees of Social Protection departments about:

  • peculiarities of labor relations in Ukraine during martial law; 
  • amendments to the legislation that regulates the procedure for providing living allowance to IDPs;
  • humanitarian assistance and existing social support programs for internally displaced persons.

We also shared with the Social Protection departments employees the techniques to reduce the effects of stress from increased workload and instructed them on how to provide psychological support to war-affected people.

Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services conducts these webinars in the frames of a joint project with the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Within the project, we inform and support representatives of the social protection sector who work directly with IDPs.
