In cooperation with the Kherson Regional Center “Successful Woman” NGO (KhRC “Successful Woman”), our Foundation distributed non-food assistance to residents of many communities in Khersonska Oblast. Three hundred kits were distributed, which included a portable gas stove, a power bank, a blanket, a sleeping bag, a portable lamp, a set of candles, and more. The team of CF SSS purchased, packed, and delivered the aid to the KhRC “Successful Woman”, which organized its distribution to people who needed it most. Importantly, the distribution of the non-food kits was made with due regard for gender and the needs of those facing various types of discrimination.
“For more than twenty-four years, we have been protecting the rights of various categories of women, supporting their development and economic independence. The distribution of this humanitarian aid is a response to the situation in Khersonska Oblast,” says Irayida Herashchenko, deputy head of the KhRC “Successful Woman”. “During the distribution, people were most pleased with flashlights and power banks because the problem with light persisted. However, those whose homes were damaged by flooding were happy with all the items in the kits.”
High quality of service is important for the Foundation’s team, so we accompany the entire process of this humanitarian assistance. We also pay considerable attention to the assessment of the aid already received by the residents of Khersonska Oblast.
The assistance was provided within the framework of the Lifesaving Shelter, MPCA, SRH, and Protection Assistance for Conflict-Affected Communities in Rural Hromadas in Mykolaivska and Khersonska Oblasts project, implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” and the Kherson Regional Center “Successful Woman” NGO together with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Foundation.
