More than 1,600 IDPs in places of compact living received household appliances from CF “SSS”

In the frames of the United Voices in Action project and in partnership with IREX in Ukraine, we provided the IDPs in 12 regions of Ukraine with the items they lacked for decent living in temporary shelters: refrigerators, boilers, washing machines, ovens, multicookers and other household appliances, as well as pillows, blankets, bed linen and folding beds.

Places of compact living are premises specially equipped for IDPs housing, including schools, kindergartens, hostels, children’s camps. These places often lack conditions for comfortable sleep, cooking, and housekeeping. We wanted to make life a little easier for the forced migrants and handed over the aid to twelve places of compact living in central, northern and western regions of Ukraine. There are currently 1,699 people living there, but the dormitories can potentially accommodate more IDPs and thus the appliances will be even more useful.

Both the residents and the managers of compact living places were grateful for the aid. This is how Ruslan Poshtovyi, director of Zorianyi camp in Karapyshi village in Kyivska oblast, comments on the provision of household appliances:

“Our camp provided shelter to the IDPs fleeing the occupation and shelling, saving their lives and the lives of their children. We currently have 40 people living there, and in the near future we expect another 100. We want to provide these people with decent living conditions. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Stabilization Support Services Foundation, which helps those who are most affected by the consequences of war. I am sure that the camp residents feel cared for, and now their lives will be a little easier.”

And we continue to work and take care of those who found themselves in a difficult situation.
