September turned out to be very busy for our charitable organization. We continue to work in various directions to help people affected by the war.
Over the past three weeks, we managed to help more than 24,000 people. And since the beginning of the full-scale invasion – a quarter of a million. This included:
- more than 130 thousand food, hygiene and medical kits;
- more than 3 thousand people who received social support;
- almost 9,000 people who received legal support;
- 2,600 people who were enrolled for the cash assistance program, etc.
There have also been many achievements that are difficult to quantify, but their results will be felt by hundreds of thousands of people across the country. In particular, we signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Minister of Social Policy, Oksana Zholnovich.
Also in Lviv, together with CARE partners, we met with the head of Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi and discussed how we can help the IDPs in the region with winter approaching.
We also continued our program of supporting the Social Protection Departments throughout Ukraine, which we implement together at the United Nations Refugee Agency.
However, all this would be incomplete without the stories of people who inspire and help others themselves. In the frames of a special video project with IREX, the Babylon’13 company released a documentary film about CYLA program graduate, Karolina-Michelle Makaya:
We also launched a special project together with the Babel publishing company, in which we talk about ambitious young people who develop local communities and help the IDPs. Currently, you can read the stories of four CYLA graduates.
We continue to work on overcoming the consequences of the war and are grateful to everyone who helps us in this.
