? In the Pokrovska community of Dnipropetrovska Oblast, we have launched the second phase of the Humanitarian Assistance to Besieged Cities and IDP-Hosting Locations Inside Ukraine project by distributing the first 150 individual humanitarian kits. Each kit includes a mattress, a sleeping bag, a winter blanket, a power bank, a flashlight, and a thermos.

These kits will help hundreds of families from frontline communities prepare for winter and improve their living conditions amid a challenging security situation.

?️ “We have helped many people: both internally displaced persons and local residents, including many people with disabilities and pensioners. Most of them remain in frontline areas, enduring constant shelling, without electricity, and facing water supply interruptions. They are unsure how they will get through the winter — whether there will be heating and electricity — so this aid is a real lifeline for them. The flashlights and power banks will help them stay connected and have light, while the other components will help keep them warm. It should be noted that the community received us very warmly, and the city leadership expressed gratitude for our support, emphasizing that without our help, they would have lost faith in people,” says Nadiya Aleksandrova, regional project coordinator in Dnipropetrovska Oblast.

? As part of the project, we plan to distribute 1,200 such kits in the Pokrovska community and Collective Centers for IDPs in Zaporizhzhia. Clear assessment criteria will help ensure the fair distribution of aid to the most vulnerable population groups.

? The Humanitarian Assistance to Besieged Cities and IDP-Hosting Locations Inside Ukraine project is being implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services,” with support from the international humanitarian organization CARE and financial backing from the Disasters Emergency Committee (UKAID).
