Our Charity Foundation provided technical equipment to Chernihiv region

Last week, we provided the necessary equipment to three communities of Chernihiv region: Nizhynska, Prylutska, and Koryukivska. Our regional coordinator, Anna Nikolenko-Baieva, visited the Social Protection departments of these communities and provided them with three sets of laptops, multifunctional device, routers, hard drives, office furniture and protective screens.

This equipment will help to create additional jobs for IDPs registration and improve the work of social protection employees. Nowadays, some communities host tens of thousands of displaced persons from different regions of Ukraine, which is a great burden both on the specialists working with people and on the outdated equipment of these institutions.

Thus, Volodymyr Drugakov, head of the Social Protection Department of Nizhynska community, comments:

“Currently, more than 16 thousand internally displaced persons live in our district. Compared to the region’s population, this is a significant addition, and it is our duty to register all the coming people and provide them with the necessary assistance. We will definitely be able to do it better and faster with new technology. The administration and the staff of the Social Protection Department of Nizhynska Regional State Administration of Chernihiv region express our deep gratitude to you and your great team for computer and office equipment donated as a charitable assistance.”

Our Charity Foundation purchases and provides equipment to the regions as part of the project “Social protection system capacity support in registration of the internally displaced persons”, which is supported by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Thanks to this project, we manage to improve the technical provision of host communities and support them in providing assistance to the displaced persons.
