Psychological recovery and safety became the main themes of the June meetings in our hubs

When stress is all around us, the most valuable thing we can do is stick together and support one another. This is exactly why our social hubs operate in five communities across the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In the Pavlivka community, roundtables were held as part of the “Safety in Action” initiative. Participants discussed how to make community life truly secure and comfortable for everyone without exception, and how to strengthen trust between people and safety institutions.

Residents of the Lozuvatka community gathered at our hub for a creative art therapy session. They painted tote bags, created their own unique designs, and simply chatted. It was a wonderful way to escape daily worries, “unload” emotions, and relax a bit.

In the Tomakivka hub, participants learned forgotten words and practiced plastilinography (clay painting). A meeting of the “Speak Ukrainian” speaking club took place here, where participants practiced communicating freely in their native language, explored the meanings of rare, unfairly forgotten words, and combined this with tactile painting. It turned out to be a double reset — for both the mind and the soul.

Our hubs have become places where you can not only learn something new but also simply be among your own, take a breath, and regain emotional balance. Thank you to everyone who joins, because it is this kind of solidarity that helps us all hold on and move forward.

The Strengthening resilience and protection of conflict-affected individuals, communities, and systems in central and eastern Ukraine project is implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
