The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” continues to support vulnerable categories of people. Recently, our team visited Komyshuvakha in Zaporizka Oblast and provided humanitarian kits to people with disabilities and limited mobility.
Each kit contains essential hygiene items, including diapers, incontinence pads, towels, laundry detergent, and more.
Among those who received assistance was Viktor (name changed for safety reasons), who came to pick up a kit for his 90-year-old mother.
“For my mother, who has been bedridden since a stroke, this kit is a real lifesaver. Many thanks for taking care of us,” he commented.
Kateryna (name changed for safety reasons), 66, also received humanitarian aid. She lives with her daughter and her daughter’s family. Kateryna mentioned that finding diapers or incontinence pads nowadays is quite difficult, which creates problems.
“Here [in Komyshuvakha], humanitarian aid is provided occasionally, and we can receive incontinence pads or diapers. But my friends, who are currently in Zaporizhzhia, say that finding them there is extremely difficult,” said Kateryna.
However, these items are necessary not only for her but also for her co-mother-in-law. Kateryna had previously evacuated to Zaporizhzhia with her family. It was a difficult journey, as they could only take one bag with them. At that time, they were in need of almost everything. Now, the family has returned home.
“We are very grateful for your help. It is heartwarming when everyone is kind and ready to support us,” she added.
This assistance was made possible through the Response to Protection Risks and Humanitarian Needs of Conflict-Affected Population in South and South-East of Ukraine project, implemented by the CF SSS in partnership with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
