Social Laundries, Shelters, and Tents: CF SSS Continues to Assist Kherson and Mykolaiv

The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” team has just returned from a trip to the south of Ukraine. We met with representatives of the social protection system in Mykolaivska Oblast. Together, we plan to create social laundries based at district territorial centers in Mykolaiv. Therefore, it was very valuable for us to learn about the community’s current needs.

In Khersonska Oblast, we visited the Afanasiy and Olha Tropiny Kherson City Clinical Hospital, which serves as an emergency shelter for those whose homes were destroyed by flooding due to the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam. The hospital is home to people who need constant care.

We also met with representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Khersonska Oblast. Our partners, the international humanitarian organization CARE, provided the rescuers with pneumatic frame tents.

We continue to work on restoring the south of Ukraine and assisting our citizens.

The creation of a social laundry is planned as part of the project Rapid Emergency Support to Affected Population in Khersonska and Mykolaivska Regions in Southern Ukraine, Kherson Flood Response, implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” with the support of the international humanitarian organization CARE.
