We are pleased to announce that on June 1st, Valeriya Vershynina was appointed as the new Executive Director of the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”. She succeeds Dermot Hamilton, who held the position for eight years and was instrumental in initiating our Foundation’s activities in Ukraine.
Valeriya joined the CF SSS in September 2016. During her tenure, she advanced from being an Advisor on Internally Displaced Persons at the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine to a Project Manager and then Chairperson of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
As an Advisor on IDPs, Valeriya actively worked on developing and implementing policies aimed at supporting displaced individuals. Her initiatives improved the living conditions of thousands of Ukrainian citizens affected by the war.
As Project Manager, Valeriya focused on implementing large-scale projects to support affected people. Her efforts included coordinating projects aimed at developing social services for veterans and individuals affected by the war and strengthening the capacity of the social protection system.
Over the past year, Valeriya Vershynina served as the Chairperson of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, successfully guiding the organization’s strategic directions, fostering its growth, and expanding collaborations with international donors.
As the Executive Director of the CF SSS, Valeriya plans to continue strengthening the Foundation’s capabilities, expanding its projects, and attracting new partners to provide assistance to those affected by the war in Ukraine.
