Washing machine, refrigerator and other household appliances for IDPs in Chernivtsi

We continue providing household appliances, folding beds and bed linen to IDPs staying in places of compact living. This week, the aid was provided to 53 families who found shelter in kindergarten No. 9 in Chernivtsi.

This facility has been hosting IDPs since the first days of the war. Currently, 104 people live here, but its total accommodation capacity is up to 130 people. The kindergarten is completely converted to IDPs temporary housing: classes for children are currently not held here.

To make life easier for the residents, we handed over to the facility a washing machine, refrigerator, boiler, microwave, oven, 7 multicookers, kettles and extension cords, 4 irons, 14 folding beds, as well as 35 sets of bed linen, blankets and pillows.

Here’s what Inna Boikova, kindergarten director, says about the assistance provided:

“The administration of preschool educational institution No. 9 of the combined type in Chernivtsi expresses its sincere gratitude to the team of Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” and Tetiana Sigaieva for the invaluable help for internally displaced persons who temporarily live in our institution. Hygienic and food kits, warm blankets, pillows, bed linen, household appliances, folding beds received by IDPs will help them meet their basic needs and make life easier in an educational institution. This help is very important and necessary for us. Your generosity and selflessness made it possible to share the burden of our worries. You shared the warmth of your soul, the generosity of your heart. You will always be a welcome guest at our establishment.”
