Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Volyn region has become one of the shelters for a huge number of displaced persons. Lutsk and other cities and towns became both a temporary residence and a transit hub for people who were forced to leave their homes.
Hundreds of IDPs from all over Ukraine live in Zymne village, a few kilometers from the border with Poland. Representatives of Zymne Village Council approached our Foundation asking to provide assistance for a compact settlement place, where more than 150 IDPs, including 55 children, currently live. The request was painfully simple, but urgent – there was not enough bed linen, pillows and blankets.
With the support of our friends and partners Choose Love, we were able to purchase everything the displaced persons needed and deliver it to Zymne – we are especially grateful to our regional coordinator Kateryna Lutsenko for the organization and items’ transportation.
