Last week, our Charity Foundation received a request from Biloghirya territorial community of Khmelnytskyi region for household appliances that the IDPs need. Currently, there are 35 IDPs from different parts of the country – they stay at the places of compact living located on the territory of the community (kindergartens in Kornytsia and Zaluzzhia villages).
We managed to purchase and, with the help of our regional coordinator Anna Nikolenko-Baieva, hand over the following household appliance to the community:
- 1 washing machine
- 1 refrigerator
- 1 boiler
- 1 microwave oven
- 1 oven
- 7 multicookers
- 7 teapots
- 7 extension cords
- 4 irons
- 35 sets of bed linen, pillows and blankets
- 14 folding beds for sleeping
We know that these appliances will not solve all the problems of the displaced persons, but it will definitely make their temporary stay in the places of compact living more comfortable and pleasant. Here’s what Roman Mulyar, Deputy Head of Biloghirya village council, says:
“Helping the internally displaced persons is one of the integral components of living in wartime conditions. Due to the Russian aggression, millions of Ukrainians left their homes, having been left with practically nothing. Charitable foundations play a significant role in our compatriots’ coming back to normal life. A vivid example is the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”, the help of which has already been felt by many internally displaced persons of our community. Thanks to their support, many local IDPs received household appliances, blankets and pillows, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Foundation. What you do every day for people is really important. It is important to know that they are not alone in this trouble and society really needs them”.
Our Charity Foundation helps the internally displaced persons within the framework of the United Voices in Action project, which is implemented jointly with IREX in Ukraine. We purchase the necessary appliances, folding beds and bed linen for internally displaced persons in various regions of the country.
