We Handed Over Technical equipment for six Social Protection departments of Zaporizka oblast

This week we provided technical equipment to six Social Protection departments in Zaporizka oblast operating in Melitopol, Polohiv, Vasylkiv and Berdiansk districts. Our regional coordinator Anastasia Perepelitsia together with the representatives of the UN Refugee Agency visited these institutions and handed over to each of them three sets of laptops, MFPs, routers, hard drives, office furniture and protective screens.

New equipment is what the Social Protection departments need the most today as it is used to register IDPs, issue certificates, and assign living allowances. Today, some communities host tens of thousands of IDPs from different oblasts of Ukraine, which is a great burden both for specialists working with people and for the old equipment of these institutions – it usually works poorly and slowly. Therefore, the equipment that we handed over to Zaporizka oblast departments will help to create additional jobs for the registration of IDPs and facilitate the work of Social Protection employees.

Our Charity Foundation purchases and transfers equipment to the regions in the frames of the project “Supporting social protection system capacity in registering the internally displaced persons”, supported by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Thanks to this project, we are able to improve the technical provision of host communities and support them in providing assistance to IDPs.
