On November 15, our Foundation handed over equipment to three Social Protection departments in Dnipro. Regional coordinator Tetyana Mamchych together with UNHCR Senior Protection Assistant in Dnipro visited these departments and handed over to them three sets of technical equipment, which include: MFPs, routers, hard drives, chairs for staff and visitors, as well as protective screens. In total, nine additional workplaces were equipped.
“We are grateful for such an aid. Today our Social Protection departments continue to receive and register about 500 internally displaced persons every day. With the equipment we have received, even more people will be able to receive IDP certificates and apply for state assistance in a shorter time,” said Violeta Hubarevych, Deputy Director of the Social Policy Department of Dnipro City Council.
Svitlana Kotyshchuk, Head of the Left Bank Department of Dnipro City Council, noted that this is the first project in Dnipro aimed directly at helping Social Protection institutions. The burden put on them has increased due to the population mass displacement caused by the military invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine.
Our Charity Foundation purchases and provides equipment to the regions in the frames of the project “Supporting social protection system capacity in registering the internally displaced persons”, supported by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Thanks to this project, we are able to improve the technical provision of host communities and support them in providing assistance to IDPs.
“The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in partnership with the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” is pleased to provide support to Social Protection departments of Dnipro city, which have been helping the war-affected population and IDPs to receive social services since the first day of the war. We hope that the new office equipment will help to speed up the provision of services,” comments Tetiana Shutova, UNHCR Senior Protection Assistant in Dnipro.
