We have held an educational webinar on registering damaged property for Social Protection employees

Our Foundation continues to train specialists in the field of social protection on providing assistance to displaced persons. On July 27, we held an online webinar on the topic “Submitting an information notice about damaged/destroyed property” for 37 employees from the Kyiv region. This is our third webinar as part of a joint project with the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine, within which we support specialists who work directly with displaced persons.

This time, the webinar was focused on the procedure of reporting the damaged property. During the event we discussed:

  • what shall a person do if his/her house/apartment/room was damaged or destroyed as a result of military actions;
  • how to determine losses and register them;
  • how to submit an information notice about property damage to the State Property Register;
  • how to register an appeal with the help of Diia, through Center for Provision of Administrative Services or a notary;
  • what responsibility the applicant bears;
  • does the country currently have a compensation procedure for damaged/destroyed property.

Together with Social Protection employees, we analyzed the most difficult cases of submitting an information notice about damaged/destroyed property. This will help them to provide prompt consultations of a higher quality to people who turn to them with relevant questions.
