We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the Rokada Charitable Foundation situated in Chernivetska Oblast, as an integral part of the Supporting the Capacity of the Social Protection System to Register Internally Displaced Persons project. This endeavor is graciously funded by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine, and spearheaded by our Foundation.
The pivotal document was born out of a shared aspiration for fruitful collaboration and a keen interest in fostering a knowledge exchange among the experts from both organizations. Foremost, this partnership stands pertinent in light of the escalating challenges surrounding the reception of internally displaced persons within the Chernivetska Oblast.
From the inception of our operations in the oblast, CO CF SSS and Rokada have maintained a collaborative stance, actively engaging in information exchange as the UNHCR’s implementation partners. This synergy enables us to present a unified front, working harmoniously to enhance the living conditions of the IDPs in the oblast. The formalization of this Memorandum marks a major milestone in the reform of the support system for the affected individuals.
Moreover, this collaboration promises to elevate the standard of humanitarian services available in Chernivetska Oblast.
Our collaboration will focus on the following key areas:
- Organization of awareness-raising initiatives, alongside advocacy and communication campaigns;
- Facilitating the sourcing and distribution of humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable groups affected by the hostilites;
- Undertaking sociological studies.
Please note that this roster of activities is open-ended and will be expanded.
Volodymyr Antoniuk, the regional coordinator of the project in Chernivetska Oblast, remarked, “The substantial contributions already made by both parties towards enhancing the social protection infrastructure in the oblast only motivate us. This Memorandum acts as a catalyst for our united efforts, and the camaraderie and collaborative spirit fostered will equip us to navigate the contemporary challenges adeptly.”
