We showcased the activities of our Foundation to the CPDSR (Community Planning, Durable Solutions, and Recovery Working Group) at the UN Refugee Agency office in Ukraine. Executive Director Dermot Hamilton shared with partners the work of the CO CF SSS over the past several years and the knowledge gained in that time regarding long-term solutions to support Ukrainian society. He also outlined the operational activities of the Foundation and plans to strengthen them next year.
“As Ukraine strives for recovery, we, as the civil society collectively, must ensure that the recovery doesn’t leave anyone behind. We have to take care of the most vulnerable – be it IDPs, people directly affected by the war, or those whose means of subsistence have been taken away. How to avoid further isolation of vulnerable groups was a key part of the conversation. Essentially, the CPDSR working group exists so that CSO and NGO communities can develop a strategy to prevent this from happening.
By presenting our work, we hope that our learned lessons can be utilized by others to build a more effective recovery through sustainable solutions for all,” Mr. Dermot pointed out.
