We provided the necessary technical equipment to Social Protection institutions in six regions of the country

We continue our project “Social protection system capacity support in registration of the internally displaced persons”, supported by the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Thanks to the project, we purchase and hand over technical equipment to communities that host IDPs from different regions of the country.

Over the last two weeks, our regional coordinators have handed over equipment to eleven Social Protection departments in six regions: Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Ternopil, and Cherkasy. Currently, all these regions host hundreds of thousands of internally displaced persons from different parts of the country. Some Social Protection departments were completely or partially destroyed as a result of hostilities, others lacked the necessary technical equipment for operational work.

The lack of modern equipment complicates and slows down the process of IDPs registration, resulting in considerable workload for the employees of Social Protection offices in their daily work. Thus, we identified the departments that are in urgent need of updated technical equipment and provided them with modern computers, routers, hard drives, printers, cartridges, and drives. We know that this technical equipment will help improve the quality and speed of providing socially important services to citizens.

“On behalf of our administration, I would like to express our gratitude to the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” and UNHCR for having found in such a difficult time an opportunity to support our administration, which was completely destroyed as a result of hostilities and which is now temporarily located in the Palace of Children and Youth. The created workplaces will allow us to speed up the processing of all incoming applications,” said Victoria Kotsubanova, a representative of the Social Protection Department of Bucha District State Administration.

We continue to work for rebuilding the country through the improvement of social protection system. Our project covers territorial communities of 11 regions of Ukraine, namely: Kyiv, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrivsk, Odesa, Kirovohrad and Ternopil regions, as well as the city of Kyiv.
