On August 15-16, 2024, the Youth for Recovery and Development meet-up was held in Ivano-Frankivska Oblast in the Tlumatska, Kolomyiska, and Kaluska communities. Informal meetings were also held in Mykolaivska Oblast on August 13-14, 2024.

The event was organized by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the humanitarian organization People in Need and with the financial support of the Czech Development Agency.

Participants got acquainted with the Youth for Recovery and Development program and had the opportunity to join the discussion of tools for youth participation in community management. A SWOT analysis was conducted at the events, which identified the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the youth movement in the communities.

In total, 73 representatives of local self-government bodies, departments of education, culture, youth policy, and sports, youth councils, NGOs, and active youth of the communities took part in the events in Ivano-Frankivska Oblast. The total number of participants in Mykolaivska Oblast was 60 people.

“Young people have great potential, and we are glad to see them beginning to realize their role in the process of rebuilding Ukraine,” said Natalia Kravchenko, regional coordinator of the Vidnova project in Ivano-Frankivska Oblast.
