This was a multimedia project designed to address the lack of information concerning the plight of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine. The exhibition presented true stories of conflict affected persons, accompanied by photographs taken by Sergei Sarakhanov.
The exhibition launched on Kyiv’s Sofia Square in November 2015 before touring Ukrainian cities as well as London, Brussels, Berlin, the Hague, Warsaw, Rome and Paris. The final leg of the tour saw engagement from the Council of Europe in Strasbourg for the purposes of exposing local stories to EU decision makers.
In the end, more than 3,800 persons read stories about Ukrainian IDPs, 76 articles were published in Ukrainian and foreign media, and more than 150,000 people were reached through the accompanying social media campaign.
