The aim of the project is to mobilize civil society activists and monitor together with them regional anti-COVID programs, as well as to develop and present – to the government officials – recommendations for the upcoming future: both to the quarantine recovering and in case of new waves of the virus.
In 4 months, we plan to identify best regional practices of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as suggest ways to improve existing local socio-economic policies.
“Since the quarantine outbreak in Ukraine, there have been many decisions at the local and national levels that should help fight the coronavirus and its consequences. At present times, six months after the start of the pandemic, it is time to analyze what has worked, and what should have been done differently. We encourage civic activists to join our initiative, because this is a chance to learn how to monitor local policies and do useful work for their community, ”- Olga Ivanova, project manager, executive director of the Charitable Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”.
The work will take place online in the format of webinars and mentoring support in 24 regions of Ukraine through a network of regional coordinators. In each region, they will work with representatives of at least 3 cities and 4 united territorial communities.
If you are a representative of a non-governmental organization or an activist from united territorial communities or the cities, and you are interested in joining our activities, write to [email protected]
