Multisectoral Emergency Support for High-Severity Hromadas

Supporting displaced persons and evacuated citizens from frontline and occupied territories is the main goal of the new project “MESH: Multisectoral Emergency Support for High-Severity Hromadas» which our Foundation has launched in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. These cities remain key centers for receiving internally displaced persons, with thousands of people continuing to arrive every month. Among them are children, elderly people, persons with disabilities or limited mobility, large families, and single parents. Most have lost their homes, property, and documents, evacuated with minimal belongings, have limited resources, and are in urgent need of support.
Therefore, the new project of our Foundation is aimed directly at providing comprehensive assistance to people affected by the war.
Within six months of implementation, the project plans to:
Carry out repairs and equip four temporary accommodation facilities to ensure accessible, comfortable, safe, and dignified living conditions for displaced and evacuated persons;
Provide one-time financial assistance to evacuees who have been relocated within the last six months;
Distribute individual non-food kits (warm blankets, sleeping bags, power banks, and other essential items);
Supply individual hygiene kits, including women’s kits and specialized kits for people with specific needs.
An important aspect of the new project is the provision of psychological, legal, and social assistance. According to Project Manager Yuliia Suchok, starting in May, mobile teams of psychologists, lawyers, and case managers will be working in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia to provide individual consultations, assist with document restoration, and support people who have experienced traumatic events. In addition, case managers will accompany the most vulnerable individuals, ensuring their access to necessary services and support.
Overall, the project aims to support more than 12,000 beneficiaries.
The assistance is provided within the framework of “MESH: Multisectoral Emergency Support for High-Severity Hromadas” by the Stabilization Support Services Foundation, coordinated by the Right to Protection Foundation, and supported by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
