Supporting the social protection system of vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 outbreak in Ukraine

with the support of the UNDP Initiative on Civil Society for Democracy and Human Rights in Ukraine which is funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The project “Supporting the social protection system of vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 outbreak in Ukraine” aims at improving an access to administrative and social services during the preventing measures focused on combating the spread of COVID-19 to the conflict-affected population, including internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups and increasing the capacity of the social protection system to respond promptly and lawfully to the challenges arising during the pandemic; The project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” with the support of the UNDP Initiative on Civil Society for Democracy and Human Rights in Ukraine which is funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We announce the launch of the project “Supporting the social protection system of vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 outbreak in Ukraine”.

The project aims at:

  • Improving an access to administrative and social services during the preventing measures focused on combating the spread of COVID-19 to the conflict-affected population, including internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups;
  • increasing a capacity of the social protection system to respond promptly and lawfully to the challenges arising during the pandemic;
  • raising awareness of the conflict-affected population, including IDPs and other vulnerable groups, about legislative changes during the quarantine and other temporary restrictions.

The project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” with the support of the UNDP Initiative on Civil Society for Democracy and Human Rights in Ukraine which is funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Within two months, we plan to directly advise IDPs and other vulnerable groups in 15 regions of Ukraine (regions of Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv,, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky region, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv region and Kyiv) on how to get social and administrative services under the  quarantine restrictions and conduct online trainings for employees engaged in the social protection system of the united territorial communities  in cooperation with the Departments of Social Protection at the regional level.
