Media Mind Content School: Consume and Create Responsibly

The charitable organization «Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation» is launching a new educational project «Media Mind Content School: Consume and Create Responsibly». Its goal is to enhance media literacy among teachers, teenagers, and young people in the context of the ongoing information war.

The project covers six communities in the Mykolaiv and Sumy regions, located near the frontline areas and therefore in particular need of strengthening their information resilience.

Within the project, it is planned to:

  • engage over 12,250 participants through training sessions, workshops, media clubs, and media quests;
  • prepare 180 teachers to integrate media literacy into their curricula through structured learning (online courses and offline sessions);
  • develop an interactive media literacy course designed for 7,300 participants, with continuous monthly enrollment of new users.

For the first time in Ukraine, the Media Mind methodology systematically combines two key components of media education — countering disinformation and creating ethical content.

This approach aligns with the MediaSmarts framework developed by the Canadian Centre for Digital and Media Literacy «USE, UNDERSTAND & ENGAGE: A Digital Media Literacy Framework for Canadian Schools», and with the core principles of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) in the United States.

We strive for the project’s graduates to become creators of high-quality media content, capable of resisting propaganda and manipulation, and of spreading knowledge further within their communities.
