Regional Dialogue Training

In Partnership with Goran Lojancic, trainer at the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue

In the firm belief that dialogue practices form a solid foundation for sustainable, long-term peacebuilding infrastructure, CF SSS invited Goran Lojancic, a trainer from the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue (NCPD), for two sets of trainings. These aimed at raising the profile of dialogue as a practice, as well as provided opportunities for engagement and discussion with experts in the field.

In July 2017 three one-day trainings in dialogue and reconciliation techniques were held for members of the Ministry of Social Policy (MOSP), the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs (MTOT), and civil society organizations (CSOs). Dialogue was presented as a way to resolve complex patterns of conflict, and the documentary Reunion: Ten Years After The War (exploring dialogues concerning the Serbia-Kosovo conflict) was presented. These took place in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kramatorsk.

In November 2017, two one-day dialogue trainings were held in Kyiv for representatives of state authorities, NGOs and volunteers. The goal was to further explore dialogue and related capacity-building with government bodies, particularly the MTOT, as well as promote reintegration and reconciliation among government and non-government controlled parts of Ukraine. The programme was divided into three activities: presenting dialogue, a screening of the documentary as well as discussion.
