Our shared responsibility is to create a unified mechanism to support Ukrainians returning home from abroad. This is why our Foundation joined the strategic meeting of our partners organized by the Rokada Charitable Foundation. Representatives of organizations from seven countries attended the event. Among them was Olha Ivanova, Development Director at the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services.”

Returning from abroad is a difficult process that requires a high degree of coordination. Often, people don’t know which assistance they may count on and where to reach out to after arriving back in Ukraine. Our shared goal is to make it so that no Ukrainian, especially from among vulnerable categories, is left to face the new challenges alone.

Over the two days of intensive work together with our colleagues, we:

🔹 Developed a joint referral model compliant with international standards.

🔹 Discussed real cases of support, ranging from consultations abroad to assistance back in Ukraine.

🔹 Approved the creation of the Coalition for the Support of Returning to pool efforts and resources to achieve our shared goal.

Our next steps are to create a pilot of the mechanism and expand the partner network. Ukrainians should never be left alone on their way home.

We support those affected by the war as part of the Support to the Capacity of Government Institutions and Local Communities to Strengthen Social Protection Systems in Ukraine project, implemented with the support of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine.
