The Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” participated in a humanitarian convoy to the Bilozerska community in Khersonska Oblast, delivering personal hygiene kits.
Together with rescuers, local authorities, and other charitable organizations, the Foundation provided aid to local residents.
Thanks to joint efforts, the convoy delivered food packages, hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, power banks, solar lamps, blankets, mattresses, pillows and bedding sets, folding beds, heaters, charging stations, children’s and adult diapers, baby wet wipes, disposable pads for adults, clothing, bedside cabinets, and more.
“We actively cooperate with the cluster… We were invited to take part in the joint humanitarian effort. Participating in the convoy is a responsible and honorable mission for us. It is an alternative channel for distributing charitable aid in hard-to-reach areas that are under constant enemy shelling. It is important for us to build relationships with new communities in our field of work,” said Yuriy Sliusarenko, project coordinator of the Danida II project.
This aid is vital for residents, as many homes, public facilities, and utility networks in the community have been damaged by shelling. The community is under daily attack by short-range UAVs, artillery, and MLRS. The settlements of the Dniprovskyi, Kizomyskyi, and Tomynobalkivska starosta districts, as well as the village of Bilozerka, have suffered significant damage.
The Bilozerska community consists of six starosta districts, which include 25 settlements. Currently, 9,267 people live in the community, including 2,204 internally displaced persons.
Delivering such a large volume of aid was made possible through the joint efforts of the community’s leadership and humanitarian organizations coordinating the effort.
Participation in the joint humanitarian mission was made possible through the Response to Protection Risks and Humanitarian Needs of Conflict-Affected Population in South and South-East of Ukraine project, implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
