It has been some time since the destruction of the Kahovka Dam, yet many residents of Mykolaivska and Khersonska oblasts still lack basic necessities. To address this, the CF SSS organized a distribution of non-food items to families residing in Snihurivska and Khersonska communities, whose homes were affected by the floods.
“During the distribution, people were particularly pleased with the power banks and quality cookware,” notes Anna Vasylenko, the project coordinator in Mykolaivska Oblast. “They appreciated that all the components of the kit are highly relevant for the upcoming winter and are of excellent quality. Many were surprised at the extent of the aid provided.”
Each kit included a power bank, a single-burner gas stove, a gas cylinder, a table lamp, a set of pots and a frying pan, tableware, towels, a mop, a bucket, a flashlight, and napkins. A total of 550 such kits were distributed.
This humanitarian aid is part of the project Rapid Emergency Support to Affected Population in Khersonska Oblast in Southern Ukraine (Destruction of the Kakhovka Dam) implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in collaboration with the humanitarian organization CARE, with financial support from Aktion Deutschland Hilft.
