“As the Head of the IDP Council of the Rivnenska Oblast Military Administration, I firmly believe that the educational series ‘IDP Councils: From Adaptation to Impact’ is a valuable and applicable resource for everyone working with displaced persons.
The series provides detailed information on establishing and developing IDP Councils, their powers, and tools of influence. It helps understand how to effectively coordinate an IDP Council, plan its work, build communication with authorities and the public, and collaborate with partners. In the face of ongoing changes and challenges IDPs face, this knowledge will help protect their rights and interests.
Episode three, ‘Create Effective Local Programs to Support IDPs,’ was especially useful for our IDP Council. It focuses on strategic planning and developing local programs. The episode clearly explains how to gather and analyze information, set priorities, and design effective local support programs aimed at addressing IDP issues.
Equally important are the attachments with examples of successfully implemented programs from different regions. Thanks to this knowledge, we will better plan and implement projects aimed at supporting IDPs in Rivnenska Oblast.
I sincerely recommend this series to all IDP Councils, local self-government bodies, community activists, volunteers, and anyone interested in protecting IDP rights. It will help discover new approaches and tools for effective IDP support.”
