How to Present the Work and Achievements of the IDP Councils? Insights from the Webinar

The successes of the IDP Councils are not always marked by major events: often, they are small steps that lay the groundwork for future changes. It is important to share these achievements in a simple, clear, and compelling way.

This was the focus of the April 23 webinar “Presenting the Activities and Achievements of IDP Councils (Collecting Information on Achievements, Creating Materials, and Organizing Presentations),” attended by numerous participants.

Together with Anastasiia Serbina, an expert in internal displacement and democratic governance, and founder of the AC Training Group, we discussed:

  • The legal requirements for informing the public about the work of the IDP Councils;
  • How to respect privacy when sharing success stories;
  • How to make a presentation engaging and easy to understand.

“It’s important for the achievements of the IDP Councils to be visible, because that’s how your volunteer work becomes recognized and understood by the community. The journey from identifying a problem to solving it can be complex and lengthy, so it’s worth talking about the results and showcasing the changes achieved,” said Anastasiia Serbina.

“The work of the IDP Councils is ongoing and consistent. It requires expertise, time, and faith in the outcome. You may not always see immediate change, but it is thanks to your efforts that the voice of IDPs is heard louder. Thank you for finding the strength and motivation to keep going, and for seeking ways to make your work even more effective,” noted Valeriia Vershynina, Executive Director of the CO SSS.

Thank you to everyone who joined and participated in the discussion.

Stay tuned for announcements of upcoming events!
