The Lifesaving Response to Protection Risks and Humanitarian Needs of Conflict-Affected Population in South and South-East of Ukraine project will be extended for another year, operating until July 31, 2025.
The extension aims to provide essential support and assistance to war-affected communities in Khersonska and Zaporizka oblasts.
“We would really like to see the need for humanitarian response projects disappear, but we see that the security situation is still unstable. People still need help in Zaporizka and Khersonska oblasts. We are therefore very grateful that we have the opportunity to continue helping people,” said Anna Borysova, Director of Humanitarian Programs of the Foundation.
As part of the project, our Foundation will ensure that residents in areas near the frontline have access to drinking water, non-food items (350 units), including bed linen sets, blankets, towels, lamps, and hygiene kits (1,500 units) for women, families, and people with disabilities. Additionally, multipurpose cash assistance will be provided.
Priority will be given to households affected by the war that include elderly people, individuals with disabilities, and families with young children.
A key feature of this project is to assist those living in more dangerous areas without access to basic household necessities. To achieve this, rapid response teams will be deployed.
Our team will collaborate with local authorities, civil society organizations, and community leaders to respond quickly and efficiently to the people’s needs.
The Lifesaving Response to Protection Risks and Humanitarian Needs of Conflict-Affected Population in South and South-East of Ukraine project is being implemented by the CF SSS in partnership with the international humanitarian organization CARE, with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
