In five communities of Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, the presentations of initiatives for the mini-grants competition have been completed. This is part of the project “Strengthening resilience and protection of conflict-affected individuals, communities, and systems in central and eastern Ukraine.”
In total, participants presented 26 projects. Each idea responds to the challenges of war and provides real support to local residents.

Among the presented initiatives were projects aimed at strengthening community resilience, developing social infrastructure, and improving the quality and accessibility of social services for the population. Participants also showcased solutions in the areas of energy independence, safety, and critical infrastructure development — ranging from solar power plants to the creation of inclusive spaces for children and youth, as well as initiatives supporting psychological well-being and enhancing preparedness for emergencies.

Community residents had the opportunity to express their support for the most relevant and impactful proposals. The project evaluation process is currently ongoing, and in June we will learn which initiatives will receive financial support for implementation.

The Strengthening resilience and protection of conflict-affected individuals, communities, and systems in Central and Eastern Ukraine project is implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
