Massive water supply restoration underway in Pavlivska Hromada: Nearly 12 km of new water pipeline being installed

In Pavlivska hromada, Zaporizhzhia region, the construction of a new water pipeline is ongoing to restore a reliable water supply in this frontline area. The community regularly faces the consequences of armed conflict, adverse weather, and aging infrastructure, making access to water one of the most critical issues for residents.

To support the community, our organization has provided nearly 12 km of new pipes. These materials have allowed the construction of a new section of the water pipeline, replacing outdated and damaged networks.

The local water utility is already actively working on the sections that needed the most urgent repairs. The new infrastructure will ensure residents have reliable access to clean water, significantly improving living conditions in this frontline area.

According to Anton Malinin, water supply restoration expert for the project “The Strengthening Resilience and Protection of Conflict-Affected Individuals, Communities, and Systems in Central and Eastern Ukraine”, the situation in the community allows construction to proceed without major delays:

“The security situation here is relatively stable. The only factor that could affect the pace of work is worsening weather and the onset of cold. However, the team continues to work as efficiently as possible to complete everything on time,” he notes.

Despite potential weather-related challenges, the construction teams are determined to complete the pipeline installation by the end of this year. Completion of the work will be a major step forward for the community, which has long faced difficulties in accessing water.

The project is implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
