At the beginning of December, the Mykhailivka Hub opened in the Mykhailivka community of the Zaporizhzhia region. In just one month, this space has become a vibrant center for communication, support, and joint initiatives for residents. The hub has become a place where people can feel a sense of unity and regain a sense of normal life, even in challenging times.
One of the most memorable events at the hub was the karaoke evening “Music Unites Us”, which brought together people of all ages and moods. The hub was filled with voices, laughter, and familiar melodies. Both Ukrainian folk songs and modern compositions were performed — everyone could choose what resonated most with them.

Music became a bridge that connected participants, helped them take a break from their daily worries, and created a warm, trusting atmosphere. People sang together, supported each other, and didn’t want to leave even after the event ended.
“I played both Ukrainian folk and modern songs — and people didn’t want to go home at all. You could really feel how music unites and provides emotional relief,” says Tetyana Loboda, hub coordinator.
“In such challenging times for all of Ukraine, we don’t give up and continue our work even under conditions of power outages and cold rooms. Thanks to our generator, we can at least provide light, and although heating is more difficult, we try to create the most comfortable conditions possible for everyone,” Tetyana Loboda adds.

In a short time since its opening, the Mykhailivka Hub has proven to be not just a new space, but an important meeting place for the community. Here, new friendships are formed, inner resilience is restored, and a sense of support develops — something so necessary during the war.
The Mykhailivka Hub will continue to be an open space for communication, creativity, and mutual support, where everyone can find their own voice — both literally and figuratively.
The Strengthening resilience and protection of conflict-affected individuals, communities, and systems in Central and Eastern Ukraine project is implemented by the Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services” in cooperation with the international humanitarian organization CARE and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
