Taking care of all categories of the population, responding to their needs and providing assistance to people affected by the war is the main principle of the Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation. Our support and assistance is very important and necessary for them.

To meet the hygienic needs of the population in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, this spring the team of the Charitable Foundation opened a stationary laundry in Snihurivka. Here people can wash up to 10 kilograms of laundry at a time for free.

People affected by the war, IDPs, women and children, people with disabilities, the elderly, single mothers and large families can use the laundry services. The social laundry is also accessible to people with limited mobility.

According to project manager Tetyana Lyakh, in order for a person with mobility impairments to have their clothes washed, they only need to call the social laundry and report their need.

A social worker or laundry assistant comes to the household where the person with limited mobility lives, takes the dirty clothes, then puts them in order – washes and dries them and takes them back,” – says Liakh.

The social laundry is open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday inclusive. The laundry has two washing machines and dryers, and household chemicals are stored in the technical rooms. There is no need to pay extra money for laundry detergent or the use of equipment. In addition, the laundry workers do all the work themselves. To wash and dry your clothes, you just need to bring them.
