Providing consultation services is just as important as distributing humanitarian aid kits. That is why the work of our mobile teams within the project “MESH: Multi-sectoral Emergency Support for High-Risk Communities,” operating in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, is an equally important tool for supporting people facing difficult life circumstances.
Large families, older people, persons with limited mobility, as well as those who have recently fled their homes, often find themselves in an informational and legal vacuum. They simply do not know where to turn for help or are physically unable to reach the necessary institutions.

The mobile team addresses this challenge by supporting people directly within their communities. The team includes a lawyer who helps people navigate legal issues, restore documents lost due to the war, obtain the appropriate status, or access state assistance they are entitled to receive. We also have a psychologist who professionally works with trauma, helps people cope with emotional burnout, and regain their inner resilience. Another key member of the team is the case manager, who becomes an individual guide for each person, comprehensively assesses their needs, helps identify solutions to difficult life situations together with them, and, when necessary, refers them to other specialists within the mobile team or to external services.
This comprehensive support is a form of assistance that cannot simply be placed into an ordinary box. Restored legal security, social protection, and psychological resilience give people confidence in their actions and greater independence in making future decisions about their lives.
The assistance is provided within the framework of “MESH: Multi-Sectoral Emergency Assistance to High-Risk Communities” by the Stabilization Support Services Foundation, coordinated by the Right to Protection Foundation, and supported by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
