How can you maintain your mental health during wartime?

Sociological research conducted by the “How Are You?” program shows that Ukrainians are experiencing high levels of fatigue, stress, fear, irritation, and helplessness due to the war and its associated challenges.

At the same time, public attitudes toward psychological support are changing: more and more people are seeking help, viewing it as a normal and important practice.

What is psychosocial support? It consists of individual and group sessions for the general public. These sessions create a safe space where participants can master self-help techniques, learn to take care of themselves, and restore their inner balance.

Topics covered in the psychological sessions include:

– adapting to life changes and constructive conflict resolution;

– preventing emotional burnout;

– developing self-regulation skills;

– mastering strategies for stabilizing one’s psychological and emotional state;

– stress management and self-help techniques.

Who is this opportunity for? For residents of:

– Zaporizhzhia Oblast (Molochansk and Yakymiv communities);

– Mykolaiv Oblast (Mykolaiv and Shevchenkiv communities);

– Kherson Oblast (Kherson community).

It is important for our team to support people who need confidence in

the future. Psychological support helps people adapt to new circumstances, maintain inner resilience, and overcome difficulties — both for those who were forced to leave their homes and for those who continue to live in their communities.

The assistance is provided as part of the project “Prepared, Protected, and Resilient: A Winter Readiness and Frontline Response Initiative”, implemented by the “Stabilization Support Services Charitable Foundation” in partnership with the international humanitarian organization CARE, with financial support from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
